Mosfet cooler - Wine cooler stands.
Mosfet Cooler
- The metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET, MOS-FET, or MOS FET) is a device used for amplifying or switching electronic signals. The basic principle of the device was first proposed by Julius Edgar Lilienfeld in 1925.
- Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor
- (MOSFETs) Metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) function as solid-state switches to control power. For example, they turn off specific functions of notebook computers and mobile phones when these functions are not in use, thereby extending battery life.
- A field-effect transistor that has a thin layer of silicon oxide between the gate and the channel
- An insulated container for keeping food and drink cool
- a refrigerator for cooling liquids
- A device or container for keeping things cool, in particular
- A refrigerated room
- an iced drink especially white wine and fruit juice
- a cell for violent prisoners
The Darrkstar LH2 video heatpipe video card cooler
This is a photo of the VGA card showing the massive memory ram heatsinks on top, and slightly smaller mosfet heatsinks on the bottom side of the card. The RAMSINKS are so tall, they almost come in contact with the CPU heatpipes. The alluminum heatsinks finns were machined down to accomodate the 40mm blue fan which helps coole the heatsing, Total cost for this build was only $5.99 and that was for the fan.
Amplifier case bottom
This afternoon, I drilled all of the holes in the piece that will become the bottom of my new amplifier. There are four mounting standoffs for each of the four amplifier boards, and a row of ventilation holes under each row of output MOSFETs to facilitate convection cooling.
